Age-Range adjustments for Young single adults and single adults

On July 18, 2024, a letter was sent to leaders in the United States and Canada announcing age range adjustments for YSA and SA. A highlight of these adjustments is below:

• "Young single adult" now refers to unmarried members ages 18 - 35.
• "Single adult" now describes unmarried members ages 36 and older.
• Institute classes are now available for young adults ages 18 - 35.
• We encourage young adults to attend institute, where they will find friends, feel a sense of belonging, and experience Christ-centered teachings.

These age changes, effective now, will be published in chapters 14 and 37 of General Handbook: Serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the coming weeks.

We look forward to discussing these changes as a stake presidency and are grateful as the work of the Lord continues.
